Ecuador was Awesome!

We loved Ecuador! We all had a fantastic time and wanted to “stay on vacation.”

I have to admit I was a little prejudiced against traveling to Ecuador. I thought that it was going to be touristy and thus, not that exciting. Ecuador showed me how wrong I was. It is a gem of a country with gorgeous scenery, cultural diversity, super friendly people and great roads (making it super easy to get around). We climbed to the base station of Cotopaxi volcano (5,000 meters, nearly 16,000 feet) and then, within 2 hours, we were in the cloud forest, and within an hour of the cloud forest, we were in the Amazon rainforest. How can you beat that?

I will write more re Ecuador as time allows but meanwhile here are some photos of our adventures.
